The Killarney Convention Centre is incredibly versatile and can host every type of event from private board meetings to large-scale conferences. Large open indoor and outdoor spaces are available for exhibitions and demo areas, while our extensive grounds and car parking facilities can be transformed into additional tented villages.  Our vast selection of breakout rooms provides ample options for private meetings, press conferences, seminars, and workshops.

The following are some examples of where months of planning and logistics along with just the right amount of imagination culminated in an extraordinary event. 

We haver the capacity to hold up to 2,500 delegates at any one time in the Auditiorium. From international summits to industry-leading forums, we provide a seamless experience for organizers and attendees alike. The auditorium is equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual technology, customizable seating arrangements, and a professional team that ensures every detail is executed to perfection.

Trade Unions & Associations 

We have welcomed numerous trade union and association conferences including, the Communications Workers’ Union Conference (CWU), Fórsa’s Civil Service Division conference, The Irish National Teachers’ Organisation Conference (INTO), the Association of Secondary Teachers in Ireland (ASTI) and the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

SHOWCASE EVENTS

GOOGLES ANNUAL EMEA CONFERENCE

In 2009 over 2,500 Google delegates from around the world convened at the Killarney Convention Centre for their annual sale conference. Google CEO Eric Schmidt’s personal gulfstream jet was just one of six chartered aircraft to land in Kerry Airport for the two-day conference.

The delegates also attended a gala Banquet in the INEC on the second night, this was the largest banquet ever held in Killarney.

John Herlihy, the head of Google in Ireland, saluted the people of Killarney for the welcome extended by the town to the company. “The logistics of bringing 2,500 people together from all over Europe is not easy but everything worked very smoothly and we definitely showed that Ireland is among the best locations in Europe for international conferences."

SHOPIFY SUPPORT SUMMIT 2022

Killarney Convention Centre and the Gleneagle Hotel were delighted to welcome and accommodate ecommerce giants Shopify for their Support Summit conference. The conference was a resounding success from start to finish.

With over 1,000 Shopify team members in attendance, the summit featured dynamic keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and collaborative breakout sessions, all within our state-of-the-art auditorium. The flexibility of our space allowed Shopify to create an immersive experience, complete with custom staging, audiovisual setups, and branded areas that captured the essence of their innovative culture.

MEITHEAL 2022 - PRESENT

Since 2022, the Killarney Convention Centre has been proud to host Meitheal, Ireland’s premier travel trade event, each year. This highly anticipated event brings together over 800 tourism professionals from around the globe to meet, network, and engage with Irish tourism suppliers.

Running since 1975, Meitheal is Fáilte Ireland’s flagship trade event, which is organised in conjunction with Tourism Ireland to enable Irish tourism businesses to sell the best of Ireland to top international tourism buyers.

Fórsa Biennial Conference

Killarney Convention Centre has had the honor of hosting Fórsa’s Biennial Conference, one of Ireland's largest trade union gatherings. This significant event brings together over 700 delegates to discuss key issues, policy decisions, and the future direction of the union. 

Delegates at their most recent conference had the honour of seeing Tolu Makay perform at the opening ceremony, worked through over 200 motions that were put forward and got to enjoy delicous catering courtesy of our expert team of chefs.
