Sustainability & Green Practices
Our dedication to sustainability encompasses various areas, from waste management to energy conservation, all of which contribute to creating a greener future.
Our efforts include:
- Food Waste Composting
- Being a Tobacco-Free establishment
- Killarney Coffee Cup Project member
- Energy-Saving Solutions through use of timed lights and LED bulbs.
- Use of digital screens/signs in our efforts to go paperless.
Accessibility
As part of The Gleneagle Group, we have committed ENAT’s World Tourism For All Quality Programme (European Network for Accessible Tourism). We are accredited by ENAT following their audits on our premises, facilities, customer service and information.
For delegates with mobility issues or who may be visually or hearing impaired we offer:
- Wheelchair-accessible entrances, exits, washrooms & changing rooms.
- Accessible ramps and elevators
- Availability of braille signage throughout the venue
- Hearing aid-compatible system in the hotel

Killarney as a Destination

The town sees over 1 millions visitors yearly and is the perfect destination for the largest conference venue in Ireland outside of Dublin. Killarney has been awarded a Purple Flag to highlight its safe and vibrant nightlife and is home to the largest concentration of 4 & 5 star hotels in Ireland ensuring a safe stay for your event.
At Killarney Convention Centre we collaberate with our local Gardaí & emergency services for all large scale events.
Additionally we offer secure parking for all delegates staying at the Gleneagle Hotel for the duration of their conference/event.
